Chris makes his cutting boards are made of strips or various woods such as teak, mahogany and maple. They are hand sanded and rubbed with mineral oil to bring out the beauty of the wood. This also makes it safe to use for food. It’s the perfect board to keep on your counter for cutting as well as a stunning piece of art. Don’t be afraid to chop on its beautiful surface, that’s what cutting boards are for!

These aren't your run of the mill woodshop project cutting boards.  Chris learned his woodworking skills from his grandfather, a former wood shop teacher and fine craftsman. Five-foot strips of wood were glued together and then run through a planer and cut into individual boards. They were then sanded to a smooth finish and rubbed with multiple coats of mineral oil.

Believe it or not, but studies have shown that wood is the optimal choice for cutting board construction, even better than plastic. On wood boards, whether they are new or have been used for years, bacteria dies off within three minutes. Researchers theorize that the porous surface of the wood surface of the wooden boards deprives the bacteria of water, causing them to die.

Below is a sample of some of the cutting boards that are avaliable for sale.
